My whole approach to therapy is not specialize in any one modality, but to be a generalist and have a broad picture and range in helping people along their healing journey. My type of Massage Therapy is always in flux, because I continue to keep learning and integrating what I learn back into the mix. I’m also a Reiki master, practice Quantum touch, and have dipped a little into Shamanistic healing. The following is a list of some of the modalities I have been incorporating as an RMT since 2006:
-Biomechanics as it pertains to functional therapy
-Craniosacral therapy
-Visceral manipulation
-Muscle energy for spine and pelvis
-Positional release
-TMJ mastery
-Fascial stretch
-Fascial release

Kathleen is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Formerly, she was an RMT in San Diego, California, where she first learned about the benefits of massage therapy, and practiced her craft for seven years before moving back to Ontario to start all over again.
A graduate of Trios College (formerly International Academy of Applied Health), Kathleen has also explored her interest in myofascial techniques with hands-on seminars around the USA, learning the John F. Barnes methodology. Her other workshops include applied aromatherapy, and she additional training for TMJ therapy here in Ottawa.
She is registered to start Pilates Teacher training next year and looks forward to incorporating that therapeutic mobility into her work and lifestyle.
With a broad range of experience, from equestrian and cycling sports, performing arts, and working in IT, Kathleen is able to identify with many different aspects of how the body responds to repetitive patterns, and uses her understanding of those mechanics to help clients with their goals. She is a passionate advocate of massage therapy for physical and mental well-being and encourages a whole-mind-and-body approach to health. Her focus in treatment is being curious, present, and open so that she is in harmony with her clients.
Kathleen enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking in her free time and tends to be a home-body until someone reminds her how much she loves to travel.
